Does your family have a plan for what to do during a disaster? We were just talking to our children last night about the importance of generating and practicing a disaster plan. That way, if something does happen it will be much easier to navigate the situation.

Consider formulating a plan on how the family will exit your home after a fire or tornado. Once out of the house, designate a place for everyone to meet. Create a kit with emergency supplies. Teach your children about all of the steps that are a part of your plan. Review the plan with them frequently.
If you take time to prepare as a family, everyone will be able to navigate the situation calmly and without chaos!
